In July of 2001 four years prior to Hurricane Katrina Dupuy began planning network expansion to a new facility in Jacksonville Florida. By November of 2003 Dupuy began implementing it's IP infrastructure to facilitate the development of a Corporate Wide Area Network. In the years after the world trade center attack on September 11, this was a trend for corporation's involved in the global marketplace. By the end of the following year 2004 Dupuy Implemented the private IP Network and became a mirrored corporation in real time.

A result of bringing Dupuy's secure Wide Area Network to the Jacksonville Florida facility, we in effect upgraded the redundancy services of the New Orleans data center and mirrored Dupuy New Orleans to a backup site outside the City of New Orleans. This was done with secure (firewall protected), synchronized network servers, routers, and network switches in Miami, Jacksonville, New Orleans, Houston, and Atlanta.

In layman's terms; Dupuy has a secure fail over loop between four major cities that was put in place to handle Dupuy's expansion in the state of Florida, that began in July of 2001 and was completed by January of 2005. This network was put to the test with Hurricane Katrina just seven months after it went on line. The lessons learned were invaluable to the future of the industry as a whole. Dupuy continues to expand it's network services and spares no detail concerning network operations and our data systems. Lessons learned allowed us to upgrade and purchase additional services a philosophy that has been ongoing for Dupuy since 1972.

To the corporation, this means a more reliable system or infrastructure is in place that can go on or off line for various reasons. This segmented infrastructure can update and function separately or as a whole; and then synchronize vital network services in real time as things go up or down for whatever reason. Advanced backup capabilities are now possible on a fast, secure, private network managed by a premiere data services provider 24 X 7. This service also carries a 99.9% service level agreement of guaranteed up or run time under normal operating conditions. Dupuy maintains generators, grounded battery and spike/surge protection at all locations to protect vital systems from lightning and unforeseen power surges into the equipment. We have built a state of the art corporate networking system with fail over capabilities between New Orleans, Houston, Miami, and Jacksonville Florida. Alternate or backup connections are available in all four cities including a commercial Dish Network in New Orleans.

Redundant T1 and telecommunications services for voice and data are in place at New Orleans, Houston, Miami, and Jacksonville POP locations. IBM Web Sphere is configured for web access to New Orleans AS400 services via the internet should the MPLS or data circuits go down at any of our locations, for this reason internet access remains in place from multiple service provider locations to the (WAN) Network. Additionally Dupuy maintains a state of the art website mirrored and available to customers and employees alike. Data service offerings are available to vital customer information on request.

Servers, E-mail, anti virus, back up, and data networking, are pro-actively updated to insure the latest in functionality and compatibility. Remote management and worker options allow work from any segment of the network; or at home via the internet. All hubs, switches, routers, and servers, are remotely managed and updated by the Dupuy data service team with support from IBM, and data service vendors, with Internal and independent programmers assisting. Dupuy is committed to provide our customers with state of the art data services.

At Dupuy Storage & Forwarding LLC we have these core industry goals in mind whenever we upgrade or expand our mission critical systems to better serve our customers. Dupuy maintains modern up to date facilities; with process automation, integrated silo, and operations centers.
